NE Industry Upset About Hike in Fuel Prices
The recent hike in petrol and diesel prices has not gone down well with the SMEs and industrial associations in North East India. The industry bodies in the region have opposed the move, stating that the rise in petrol and diesel prices will have a cascading effect on the overall growth of the industrial sector of the North East, which is already suffering due to an acute power crisis.
“The hike in petrol and diesel prices will lead to an increase in freight charges and ultimately to higher cost of production for the small-scale units in the region. Subsequently, this will compel the industries to increase the prices of their products, thereby leading to erosion of their competitive edge,” said Siddharth Chakraborty, Sales Manager, Akash Food Products, a small-sized food manufacturing company in Assam.
Due to the severe power crisis in North East, industries in the region have to bear higher expenses for installing generator sets, which consume diesel, thus adding to their production costs. With the hike in petrol and diesel prices, the overall cost of production will go up further.
“The crippling power situation has made it difficult for the SMEs in the region to sustain their production levels. Now, the rise in fuel prices will further erode their topline,” said Sanjay Agarwal, proprietor of Chandan Marketing, a small Construction Company Guwahati.
In order to protect the interests of the industrial sectors in North East India, the Federation of Industry and Commerce of North Eastern Region (FINER), the premier trade and industry body of the region, has asked the government to consider the plight of the industries in the region and introduce relief measures.
FINER has also urged the government to set up a ‘price stabilisation fund’ and to offer a relief package to compensate the extra price burden on the industries in North East India.

Learn About Fuel Catalysts
What would you say if I told you there’s a product you could use that would increase your car’s horsepower, decrease its emissions, and get you better gas mileage? You’d probably be totally for it or think I was completely insane. Well, I know of a product that does all the above. Fuel catalysts are simply chemicals, usually in liquid or pill form, that you add into your gas tank. After a short time, you’ll get better gas mileage, more power, and be helping the environment. And fuel catalysts not only work in cars, vans, and SUVs; they also work in motorcycles, boats, RVs, farm equipment, generators, and pretty much anything that uses petroleum based fuels. If these products sound like something you’re interesting in, just read on.
I’ve already told you what these fuel catalysts can do, but you’re also probably wondering what they are and how they work. A catalyst in a reaction is an extra ingredient that makes the reaction go faster or more efficiently. In the case of fuel catalysts, they make the reaction of burning fuel more efficient. They don’t actually mix with your gasoline; they chemically alter in to a different substance. This new type of fuel burns better than regular gasoline, making it more efficient.
So, how does this make your vehicle run better? When your vehicle runs normally, 85% of the energy produced by the reaction is heat. This means that only 15% of the energy is actually going into running your engine. Also, there are a lot of byproducts produced that build up in your engine, making it even less efficient. When you add a fuel catalyst, the burning of gasoline or diesel becomes more efficient. This makes the engine operate at a lower temperature; meaning that less of the energy is being lost as heat and more of the energy is being used to power your car. This increases your car’s horsepower and gas mileage. Adding a catalyst also produces fewer byproducts because of the increased efficiency of the reaction, meaning less buildup in your engine and even more efficiency. A cleaner engine also means that you’ll have fewer breakdowns and need fewer tune-ups. This saves you even more money!
I also mentioned earlier that these fuel additives help reduce pollution. When a catalyst is added to a reaction, this means more of the final product in produced and byproducts are reduced. The muck in your engine is one bad byproduct, but it’s not the only one. When fuel burns more efficiently, it produces more carbon dioxide and less carbon monoxide. You may think “but isn’t carbon dioxide bad?” Well, yes, but carbon monoxide is more toxic. Plus, even though you’re getting more carbon dioxide from each gallon; you’re burning fewer gallons overall, so it’s not really bad.
I’ve given you as much information about these products as I can, but I understand you may still be skeptical. The best way to find out if these products really work is to try them yourself. What I must warn you against is trying one dose of one of these products and then saying that it doesn’t work because there was little improvement. Depending on the age of your vehicle, there may be a whole lot of gunk inside it that needs to be cleaned out. It may take using one of these products several times to see noticeable results. So, if you’re really serious about saving money on gas and repairs, or on helping the environment; then you should stick with it before you decide this isn’t working for you.

What is your opinion of Anne Kilkenney’s e-mail about Sarah Palin’s “experience” as an Alaskan Politician?
If you’re wondering, Anne is a citizen of Wasilla, Alaska, who has sent out an e-mail to inform us of how Sarah Palin ran their small town and the Alaskan Government. Apparently, Palin left the town a 22 million dollar debt, ran her gubernatoral campaign in support of the “bridge to nowhere”, and has drained a state surplus.
Here is an excerpt:
During her mayoral administration most of the actual work of running
this small city was turned over to an administrator. She had been
pushed to hire this administrator by party power-brokers after she had
gotten herself into some trouble over precipitous firings which had
given rise to a recall campaign.
Sarah campaigned in Wasilla as a “fiscal conservative”. During her 6
years as Mayor, she increased general government expenditures by over
33%. During those same 6 years the amount of taxes collected by the
City increased by 38%. This was during a period of low inflation
(1996-2002). She reduced progressive property taxes and increased a
regressive sales tax which taxed even food. The tax cuts that she
promoted benefited large corporate property owners way more than they
benefited residents.
The huge increases in tax revenues during her mayoral administration
weren’t enough to fund everything on her wish list though, borrowed
money was needed, too. She inherited a city with zero debt, but left it
with indebtedness of over $22 million. What did Mayor Palin encourage
the voters to borrow money for? Was it the infrastructure that she said
she supported? The sewage treatment plant that the city lacked? or a
new library? No. $1m for a park. $15m-plus for construction of a
multi-use sports complex which she rushed through to build on a piece
of property that the City didn’t even have clear title to, that was
still in litigation 7 yrs later–to the delight of the lawyers
involved! The sports complex itself is a nice addition to the
community but a huge money pit, not the profit-generator she claimed it
would be.

Any reliable sites on finding information about the Myers-Briggs personality type INJT?
I looked into it a bit – and it seems that I have a lot of characteristics of an INJT personality type. I don’t buy all of Jung’s school of thought – but some of it, with the collaboration of Meyers-Briggs and Belle, seems rational to me…
How can I find out if I’m truly a type INJT personality without formally being assessed?
Thank you in advance.
**INTJ, gahh, spelling error.
**Myers too, whew, I’m on a roll.
Are Hho Fuel Kits a Scam ? Learn the Truth About Gas Savers
Those of you who are not reading about hydrogen gas savers for the first time probably noticed how crazy people are about these systems. But why is that? What is so different between an hydrogen gas saver and any other gas saving device?
First, what are the other available gas savers out there?
The most popular ones are the fuel magnets, the engine turbines and the fuel pills.
The Fuel Magnets :
These little magnets are actually very popular right now on eBay. They are not very expensive, and you can buy a few of them for a lower price, because of the quantity. What these magnets are supposed to do is realign the fuel molecules when the gasoline passes by the magnet. The molecules are supposed to be all mixed up, and aligning them would reduce the effort your engine has to produce to move your car. To install the magnet, you simply tie it on the gas line wherever you want. But I am wondering why would we need more than one magnet if it works ? Installing one magnet right before the gas line reaches the engine should logically optimize your results, no?
If you read testimonials about these devices, you’ll notice nobody saw any improvement after installing one.
The Engine Turbines :
This consists of an aluminum fan installed right next to the intake manifold, and the air flow going through the turbine should be amplified resulting in less efforts to move the car once again. But what is wrong with this system is that the turbine itself is blocking the previous airflow from going through the intake because of it’s size. In other words, what stops the device from improving the performance is… the device itself!
If you find any positive testimonials talking about significant improvements, let me know.
The Fuel Pills :
I don’t have all the technical details on how exactly these pills are supposed to work, but what I know is that you have to insert the pill into your fuel tank. When the pill is dissolving, it produces a chemical gas that is supposed to improve your cars’ gas mileage. I did not find any positive testimonials about these pills, but I personally would never try that.
A chemical gas into a fuel thank is never a good idea!
The Hydrogen Gas Savers :
First, this is not the actual name of the system. It is only one of the dozen of terms used for what is actually an HHO fuel kit. Most people using hydrogen gas savers are using a “do it yourself” guide showing every steps of what has to be done to install the device. But it is also possible to buy a device that is already assembled for a few more hundred dollars.
Basically, what you have to do is fill a little jar with water, and install that next to your engine. The system has to be connected to the battery of the car, and when you turn the ignition switch on, it creates electricity into the water. The electrolyzed water will then produce a gas called HHO.
If you take a few minutes to search for testimonials, you will notice that 95% of the people using this are getting incredible results from this system. Actually, the hydrogen gas savers can improve your gas mileage from somewhere between 30% and 40%! And keep in mind that you are only using water!
So what is the biggest difference between hydrogen gas savers and the other gas savers? The gas mileage improvement! For nearly the same price, you can have a slight improvement that you will probably never notice, or you can improve your gas mileage by up to 40%.

Why haven’t we seen more about ICE trailers to EVs.
Some time ago I saw an article about an internal combusion engine (ICE) powered generator on a trailor that was towed behind an EV (electric vehicle.) This seemed to be an intriguing solution to the problems of range to an EV and the problem of having to put a large ICE in a vehicle only to cover acceleration. I could easily see a transport solution of EV cars for sale and ICE gen trailors for rent for those out of town trips. Here are the cites:
http://www.evnut.com/rav_longranger.htm
http://www.acpropulsion.com/tzero_pages/tzero_Gallery.htm
Slaps, how would a regen braking trailor work? Are you talking about an electric vehicle? Why then would the vehicle not incorporate regen braking within the vehicle which would always be useful. The advantage of a generator trailor is that it can be unhitched for around town use. You would only need to use it for long trips.
Do you have a cite that discusses your suggestion?
Sadly, if based only upon the interest here, I would have to agree that generator trailors do not seem to have a following.
Does anyone buy Lance Briggs lame story about his accident? How stupid does he think we are?
Let’s not pretend. I think we know what I’m saying. If Billy or Suzie wraps their ford taurus around a light pole and then leaves it, then ” panics” like Mr. Briggs did i think the police would have handled it a little different. Sounds like someone who has been drinking to me.
