Generators?
I really don’t understand. They say a big $1000 generator can only run for like 12 hours. Then you got to refill it, and each fill costs like $15??? But obviously you can run the electicity in your car for like months, am I right. And what is it in your car that lets you do that and how much does it cost? So can you buy one of those things seperately and use it for stuff like a small fridge, a tv, heater, so on… instead of a generator because its cheaper and runs longer???

Driving around rapidly recharges the battery.

I imagine you can get a generator that can run longer then 12 hours but I know nothing about that subject.
wrong, one is ac voltage, and the car is dc voltage, and running electricity in the car for months? heck leave the lights on and the battery is dead in a few hours what are you talking about?
it won,t put out the voltage to run your house
Cars dont have generators they have alternators and batteries that’s the difference.
The current in houses and cars is completely different, and the requirements of household and car appliances are very different.
The normal house is wired for AC (alternating current) while the car is for DC (direct current). AC is much more economical and has more amperage and voltage than DC. The primary advantage of DC is that is is portable, as in the car battery, but your car does not have enough amps to run usual appliances like a refer, dishwasher and such. The transformers that you can purchase to run small appliances in your car frequently damage your auto’s wiring, battery and general electrical system.
As for a home emergency generator, it is exactly what it says, for emergencies. You normally will not need a home generator, and the ones that you can buy, other than government surplus, are good only to run one or two items in the house during power outages, like the refer, or freezer, or a heater. The overall cost of running your car to produce the same amount of proper current would take more than the average person could pay, not including the wear and tear on the car and the appliance you were running.
Generators are primairly for emergency situations, not for normal use, they also are used on areas with no electricity and only for certain periods of time, don’t understand what you mean by your car’s electricity for months, the reason you have electric power in your car is because your car alternator which is using power from your engine that uses gas is keeping your car accessories running plus the engine spark plugs and the power left over is sent to the battery for storage to be use when you start your engine,The power in you car is direct current while your home uses alternating current
JAMES! Wake up, brother. You’re dreaming.
You don’t really think that the electricity that is running all of those accessories in your car is naturally renewable electricity, do ya?
When your engine is running… maybe I’m getting ahead of myself here…
Do you have a car? Have you ever heard that thing that makes a noise when you put the key in and turn it? Well, that’s the engine. Without getting too technical, it makes your car “go”.
When your engine is, well… “going”, it is also making other things “go”. One of those thingy’s is a round thing that has some other things in it. These things work together to make – you guessed it – ELECTRICITY. Yeahhhhh!
Now, this is DC electricity and it can be stored in a battery that is just a little bigger than a lunchbox and about as heavy as if you had 50 bologna sandwiches in your lunchbox, heck maybe more! Anyway, that battery and the electricity that round thingy “generates”, is what powers your radio and the lights and other cool stuff in your car.
So I guess what I’m saying here is – that all this comes from a simple twist of the key, and that there is some weird combination of metals in the key that supplies this endless source of electricity, and that if you can run wires from the filament of your taillight bulb to an outlet in your house, you should be able to watch TV off of that magic key.
Don’t lose that key!
